Admitted to practice since 2008, Mr. Shimko has run his own firm since 2013 and carries on the practice of Timothy Shimko, established more than 40 years ago. He has successfully litigated countless cases, ranging from complex business disputes, personal injury and medical malpractice, federal claims, insurance disputes, challenges to government agency procedures and determinations, copyright enforcement, and trust disputes.
In 2013, Mr. Shimko was recognized by the New York Law Journal and VerdictSearch in their issue of Top New York Verdicts of 2012 as among “the best of the best” New York lawyers. Mr. Shimko’s verdict in a domestic violence case tried in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York was listed as one of the top 10 intentional tort verdicts obtained in 2012 for all of New York.
